Okami is such an incredible game and it's a one I've been wanting to play for many years now.. and I loved Okamiden! Lol weird I played the second game but didn't the first one huh? Well that's cuz I don't have any consoles, and Okamiden I played in my brother's DSi. But anyways, the visual style, gameplay and themes of Okami and Okamiden has been something that's inspired me a lot. And I've always loved East Asian ink and watercolour paintings a lot..so when I found out about Okami I was instantly in love! That combo of CG with traditional aesthetics, is totally my cup of tea! And as someone who really enjoys experimenting with traditional media esque visual styles digitally, it's something that I aspire to as well. So yeah this was a lot of fun to paint. I wanted to paint Shiranui but I fail at wolves...(for now anyways, learning to draw them tho!) so thought I'd paint the human form of Amaterasu.

And it's been a while since I painted something in this style..and something finished at that. I usually just do doodles and tests in this style, but it was a lot of fun to paint this. I'd love to paint more stuff like this ^ ^
