Day 03 - Butterfly Lantern

Okay this truly started as a SIMPLE ARTWORK but goddammit it actually ended up taking forever...who'd have thought
BUT IT IS DONE in all its rendered glory...I wanted to ...you know keep things loose and not spend too much time rendering..and that's exactly what I did anyways
Still, I don't think I've painted anything like this before? And I love fantasy and I hardly ever draw anything remotely fantasy related...so I gotta say I'm happy I painted something with a theme I really love for a change

I have this kind of really vague story idea about lanterns with interesting properties...so this was kind of inspired by that. Would be nice to be able to flesh it out and perhaps even turn it into a proper story.

Done in Photoshop CS6 with me intuos pro. Took around 6 hours. I swear it felt like an eternity though
